A Baby Shower (Part II)

I am so overwhelmed with all of the generosity & love of such a great group of women. Heather threw me a wonderful shower with the help of Jen, Amy & Jillian. Everyone put together a scrap book page, and paging through it brought tears to my eyes. Just add pictures (I think I can handle that :))







Some funny parts to the evening...

• Cathie throwing a cupcake at Kathy. Hopefully she'll forget that before the next year's review.



• Carolyn guessing 72" for Cathie's waist. Um, that's almost as tall as Bob. Those epidurals better be as good as everyone says they are!



• Tilly trying to pick up Bump (which includes Cathie at this point). Sorry Till, you'll have to wait like the rest of us.

And now for some more serious comments...

• Gaia. You have made me into who I am today. Your love and support has shown me what it means to be a mother. This little guy is so lucky to have you & Papi in his life.



• Hedd. How could we have known what this friendship would turn into as we were wiping snot from our noses & planting seeds in your mom's back yard at age 5. I wouldn't be complete without you. Thank you for loving me & Bump so much.

Heather always says, "It takes a village..." (to raise a child). You are all my village.

A Baby Shower (Part I)

I am so overwhelmed with gratitude. My sister Marsha threw Bump and I a baby shower. Family came from all around, and even those that couldn't make it sent gifts (thanks Great Grandma & Grandpa, Barb & Rich :)). It was the first time a lot of my family got to meet Bob's family since we ran away for our wedding, so thank you Shelly for picking such a fun get to know you game to kick things off!

A special thanks to Lily for all of her help with openning packages - you and I make a great team! And a heartfelt thanks to all of you that helped plan & organize the baby shower. It was so wonderful to be surrounded by so many that already love this little guy so much.

Some funny points...

• Oh, Butternut Squash Lasagna! Sounds Delicious! (I'd forgo that for not having to deal with burst pipes any day :))


• Guessing types of baby food. Most were not even identifiable by taste - scary.


• Heather winning the "Get to know you" game, but when asked didn't know who any of her signatures were from.


• The furniture truck pulling up outside as the shower ended - Bump was definitely spoiled with gifts, but not that spoiled!

The baby shower book you put together Marsha touched my heart. Thank you for all of the time & love it took to put this together. It means the world to me.
